Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced person for Class 1 Flat Deck driving. You will be responsible for:
Flexibility in availability will be required.
- Performing flat deck pick-ups and deliveries primarily in Western Canada
- Ensuring safe and efficient transportation of various types of cargo
- Properly securing and tarping loads according to industry standards and regulations
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintaining accurate logs and documentation using electronic logbooks
- Adhering to all transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
- Planning optimal routes and managing time efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- Handling loading and unloading of cargo when required
- Maintaining a clean and organized truck cabin and flat deck
- Reporting any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
- Adapting to changing weather conditions and road situations
- Demonstrating flexibility in work schedule to accommodate varying delivery needs
- Participating in ongoing safety training and professional development programs
- Class 1 License
- 2 years of flat deck experience
- Must have load securement experience
- Tarping experience is an asset
- Knowledge of Electronic logbooks
