The Transportation & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for collaborating in optimizing and executing daily freight movement for domestic, cross-border international (ocean) networks. This role is central to operational success, ensuring goods are delivered efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, while maintaining superior customer service and accurate communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
Here's Where You'll Have An Impact
Logistics Planning & Execution:
- Strategically plan and optimize delivery routes for all domestic, cross-border, and ocean freight shipments.
- Manage end-to-end daily operations, including tendering loads, securing capacity with carriers, and confirming delivery completion.
- Perform shipment optimization to maximize efficiency and control freight costs.
- Carrier & Information Management:
- Proactively track and trace shipments, communicating status updates and detailed information to all stakeholders.
- Maintain data integrity across all systems and ensure timely communication of any changes or issues.
- Address and resolve carrier concerns promptly to maintain strong relationships and service levels.
- Compliance & Cost Control:
- Ensure strict adherence to all food safety and general safety protocols throughout the transportation process.
- Manage Freight invoicing and cost control, actively seeking opportunities to minimize operational expenses.
- Customer & Stakeholder Service:
- Provide responsive and superior customer service, acting as the primary point of contact for operational queries.
- Quickly respond to and resolve internal stakeholder feedback or complaints regarding shipments.
What You Bring To The Table
- Communication & Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service care.
- Experience: Prior, hands-on experience as a Transport Coordinator or a similar role is essential.
- Logistics Expertise: A deep understanding of logistical processes, including experience in Supply Chain distribution, warehousing, and transportation.
- Operational Acumen: Proven technical knowledge of transportation methods and best practices.
- Planning & Prioritization:
- Strong organizational skills with a high sense of priorities.
- Exceptional time management abilities, coupled with a keen sense of urgency to manage critical situations.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to exercise attention to detail and effectively problem-solve complex operational issues.
- Adaptability: Proven capacity for stress control and maintaining a composed approach under pressure.
- Teamwork & Leadership: Must be a reliable team player with emerging leadership skills to guide processes and outcomes.
