Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Labourers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing various tasks that support the overall operations of our manufacturing department. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move raw materials, finished parts, and metal stock throughout the facility.
  • Assist with operating fabrication equipment such as grinders, shears, presses, and drills under supervision.
  • Support welders, fitters, and machine operators by preparing materials and maintaining workflow.
  • Perform basic assembly, deburring, grinding, and cleaning of fabricated parts.
  • Organize material and work stations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, etc.).
  • Assist with receiving parts.
  • Assist with general maintenance and shop housekeeping as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in a metal fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers, etc.) is required.
  • Physically able to lift up to [e.g., 50 lbs] and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
  • Good reading, writing, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills.
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience is an asset (training may be provided).
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
  • Perform general cleanup and maintenance to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools as required for specific tasks.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to job functions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks on the job site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
