Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mechanic Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist experienced mechanics in performing maintenance and repairs on various vehicles and equipment. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the heavy duty field while contributing to a dynamic work environment.

Duties

  • Assist mechanics with routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections on trailers and trucks.
  • Help diagnose mechanical issues under the supervision of experienced staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and tools.
  • Support the repair process by gathering necessary parts and tools.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Document work performed and assist in maintaining service records.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of heavy duty systems and repair techniques is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
