Role Description

We are seeking motivated individuals with strong work ethics, carpentry experience and excellent collaborative skills. This position has ample opportunity for growth and calls for a candidate willing to take on a lead hand role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in the luxury landscape space while developing their craftmanship skills in a rewarding hands-on position.

This is a full-time on-site role located in Waterdown, ON for a Master Carpenter. The Master Carpenter will be responsible for performing various carpentry tasks, including using power and hand tools, framing, and finish carpentry. The Master Carpenter will also be required to work on different outdoor landscaping projects, ensuring precision and quality in every task, from initial construction to final touches.

Candidates must be detail oriented and have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Some experience is preferred but not essential. Own transportation is required to our yard in Waterdown. Top wages for the right individuals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in carpentry, including framing and finish carpentry
• Experience with hand tools, power saws and other construction equipment
• Proficiency in reading/interpreting drawings
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
• Effective communication skills with team members and clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Punctuality and accountability
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site
• Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid G driver's license
• Previous experience in landscaping or a related field is a plus
• Willingness to learn and grow in skills, knowledge and life with Shademaster Landscapes
