What you'll do:As a Solutions Delivery Manager your key area of responsibility will be defining project scope, managing timelines, and ensuring the successful delivery of our innovative products. You will need to work closely with product managers and stakeholders to streamline processes, support complex projects, and drive product initiatives from conception to release.
To be successful in this role you will be a strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and make well-judged decisions.
How you'll make an impact:Drive product initiatives throughout the product lifecycle from conception to release and remain accountable for ensuring timely delivery of all product milestones.
Define the project scope, goals, and deliverables. Create and manage project timelines/schedules to ensure the team delivers a successful product within the desired timelines.
Support complex projects and product initiatives involving coordination with multi-disciplinary teams at Geotab; ensuring effective dialog, vision alignment and accountability of required work/deliverables.
Coordinate internal team activities and lead project meetings, maintain detailed meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
Staying energized, productive and focused in the face of challenges, ambiguity, change or strenuous demands.
Establish and maintain project deliverables, timelines, and milestone updates for sponsors and key stakeholders. Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders on all project-related aspects.
Analyze project issues and develop solutions, anticipate potential problems, and proactively address them.
Demonstrated ability to formulate cohesive recommendations regarding delivery approach after consultation with key stakeholder groups on estimated effort, resource availability, cross-program dependencies and other implementation constraints.
Gather and document stakeholder requirements for specific products and translate requirements into detailed technical specifications.
Perform post-mortem reviews post-product delivery or as required within the project delivery process.
Drive project communication and reporting; take responsibility for project tracking and analysis. Communicate vital information to the project team and broader product teams.
Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Engage in establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to enhance organizational capabilities.
Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in project/program management or product ownership within a technology organization.
Experience working within a technical or engineering organization with knowledge of the high-technology industry.
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful project throughout its lifecycle.
Experience with big data and techniques to extract value from large datasets.
Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent is an asset.
High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through to completion.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Technical competence using software programs, including but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides), and JIRA.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
