Shipper,Receiver & Shunt Driver Plant

Windsor ON NX P, Canada Belwood Poultry Ltd. Full time $45,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Complete receiving & shipping documentation, including assessment of carrier's cleanliness and suitability and product suitability (visual inspection) when incoming poultry or packaging material is received, or poultry product is shipped.
  • Ensure orders are picked correctly and are filled completely.
  • Scan orders accurately and provide paperwork for finished orders.
  • Ensure loading dock and storage area are organized and product/ packaging materials in storage areas are on skids and not directly on the floor and is not damaged.
  • Ensure that all incoming product are stored in designated areas.
  • Apply export stickers/stamps to export product when required – ensure stamp is legible and properly placed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Loading and unloading of carriers in a manner to prevent damage to the product or to the carrier or building.
  • Ensure all products in storage areas are properly labeled and identified at all times.
  • Completes HACCP/food safety documentation as required.
  • Ensures all company guidelines, GMP's, policies and other duties are followed and implemented as assigned.
  • Ensures adherence to Health & Safety guidelines and communicates concerns to management immediately.
  • Any other duties requested by Production Manager or Plant Manager
  • Ability to shunt trailers to and from the warehouse across the parking lot.
  • Daily inspection log for shunt truck

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and in damp wet conditions
  • Self-motivated and attention to detail
  • Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Physical requirements: standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending and lifting.

Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Lifting is required
  • Shipping/ Receiving experience, minimum 2 years is an asset
  • Forklift license is required. Previous forklift experience is an asset.
  • Internal Auditor training is an asset
  • Valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR
  • 3 years of AZ driving experience.
  • GMP, HACCP/ Food Safety Training

Compensation:

Wage & Performance review after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period. Wage and performance will be reviewed annually.

Work Location:

  • Mercer Street Windsor ON, N8X 3P5
  • Occasional visits to our Amherstburg location may be required
