Job Summary
Our client is seeking a licensed Millwright 433 A to focus on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing stationary industrial machinery, mechanical systems and mechanical equipment. The Millwright reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
This is a full-time position, with rotating 12hr shifts, with a proposed hourly pay range of $42.00 with bonus and shift premium extra.
Key RequirementsEfficiently plan and lay out work assignments based on complex blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.Operate mobile material handling equipment to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair plant machinery, equipment, systems, buildings, and physical structures with a focus on safety and competency.
Utilize tools and machine tools such as lathes and grinders to overhaul, maintain, or set up company property.
Oversee or assist in constructing foundations for machinery as needed.
Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Close out work orders or provide feedback to the maintenance planner and supervisor for further actions.
Provide training, guidance, and direction to apprentices or helpers working alongside Millwrights.
Stay up to date with national, provincial, and local codes related to repair, maintenance, safety, construction, and dismantling of machinery, equipment, and structures.
Conduct preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Proactively seek opportunities to improve mechanical performance and make recommendations to the maintenance supervisor, planner, and manager.
Collaborate with other teams during emergencies, plant shutdowns, or when machinery is not operational to perform necessary maintenance and minimize downtime.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school-level reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Journeyman certification as a Millwright is required;
Forklift certification is required (internal training available).
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
