Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of over 10 individuals who bill home oxygen and sleep apnea products for Government, extended health insurance and private pay. The successful candidate will also be primarily responsible for accounts receivable for our operations across Canada, specifically in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.

This role is based in Metro Vancouver, and will report directly to the Financial Controller and require some travel, as needed.

Our successful candidate will also have a proven ability to assess and improve billing and A/R processes, as we are in a growth phase and looking for an individual with new creative and professional ideas.

  • Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation.
  • Identify process improvements
  • Ensure accurate data entry of financial transactions into accounting software.
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain effective phone etiquette while communicating with clients regarding payment inquiries and account statuses.
  • Collaborate with the financial controller team to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable performance metrics for management review.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices in accounts receivable management.

Experience

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable or financial services is essential.
  • Build and lead a team to success
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with various software, data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on account analysis and reconciliation.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
