Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roustabout to join our team in the oil and gas industry. This role is essential for supporting various operations at head office and on-site.

In this role you will be working in a team setting or solo while working closely with Management, Supervisors, and Clients. You will also promote and partake in a proactive HSE program. You will facilitate logistics, provide preparation and proper housekeeping for all equipment and tools, assist with maintain the yard, inventory, operate equipment, make deliveries to client sites and filling in for operations as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Duties

  • General labor with mobilization of equipment (Trucks, trailers, Pressure vessels).
  • Operate heavy machinery.
  • Perform rigging tasks to ensure safe lifting and movement of materials.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently and safely.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Chemical and material inventory.
  • Perform fluid/chemical delivery - Loading and unloading supply tanks for various operations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, and near misses to supervisor in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Certification:

  • Valid H2S Alive, & 1st Aid Level 1
  • Valid Drivers License (Air Brakes, Class 3 or 1 are assets but not required)
  • Basic Computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • ESC- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
  • Working knowledge of fluid flow and pressures is an asset.
  • Good understanding and competency of basic mathematics.
  • General oilfield experience is an asset but not required.
  • Self-motivated, personable, confident.
  • Resides in Fort St John Area.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent travel to customer sites.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods, repetitive movement, and lifting.
  • Camp work is common and will be required intermittently.
  • Use of various hand tools and power tools.

Wage is TBD based on experience.

Note:  Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as part of the hiring process, local FSJ applicants will be given priority for interviewing purposes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
