The Head of Digital Merchandising & Strategy will serve as the central operator across the three core pillars of OKL—Finance, Growth, and Merchandising—and will take broad ownership of the brand's performance, site experience, strategic roadmap, and revenue expansion opportunities. This role operates with a GM mindset and is ideal for someone who is data-driven, tech-forward, passionate about home, and thrives in a hands-on, start-up-style environment.
This position reports to the Chief Growth Officer.
What you get to do:- Own and Elevate Digital Merchandising
- Lead the end-to-end digital merchandising vision for One Kings Lane assortment strategy, curation, product storytelling, content alignment, and onsite experience.
- Plan and optimize categories, SKU mix, pricing, and lifecycle management to ensure a compelling and profitable assortment.
- Ensure the site reflects best-in-class merchandising standards with a focus on conversion, revenue per visit, and visual excellence.
- Own the look, feel, and performance of the site—homepage, PLP, PDP, navigation, taxonomy, search, and UX improvements.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Creative, and Marketing to bring new site features to life, improve layouts, fix issues, and enhance creative presentation.
- Ensure imagery, copy, layout, and creative assets are elevated and consistent with brand standards.
- · Lead and mentor a team blending creative, analytical, and technical merchandising skills.
- · "Lead by doing" hands-on with site updates, content QA, and merchandising optimization.
- Create clarity, streamline workflows, and eliminate low-value tasks through automation or better tooling.
- Maintain and optimize a high-value vendor portfolio—contract terms, co-op strategy, cost negotiations, vendor segmentation, and performance management.
- Leverage vendors strategically for product development, exclusive assortments, and margin expansion opportunities.
- 7-10 years in digital merchandising, category leadership, e-commerce, or GM/strategy roles; ideally with start-up or high-growth brand experience.
- Proven track record owning revenue, site performance, and merchandising strategy at scale.
- Strong command of analytics, financial modeling, revenue forecasting, SEO fundamentals, and digital performance dashboards.
- Proficiency with merchandising and data platforms (PIM, DMP, NetSuite, CHUB, Bynder, Google Analytics, SEO tools).
- Ability to operate like a product leader: defining problems, prioritizing the roadmap, using insights to drive decisions.
- Hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong cross-functional communicator who can influence executives and collaborate with marketing, operations, finance, and product.
- Passion for home, design, and customer experience.
- Executive Access: Work directly with brand CEOs and senior leadership, solving real business problems and earning mentorship from top operators.
- AI-First Skill Building: Get hands-on with the most advanced AI tools in the market. From automation to prompt engineering, you'll build a modern tech stack that sets you apart in any industry.
- Accelerated Career Path: High performers are quickly entrusted with greater responsibility, new challenges, and leadership opportunities across our portfolio of brands.
- Competitive benefits: Paid time off policies, 401(k)/RRSP match, medical/dental/vision and a variety of supplemental policies, and employee discounts at our portfolio companies.
- Step 1: If you align with our vision and meet the qualifications, we'll reach out to schedule a conversation and introduce CSC.
- Step 2: You'll complete a short AI or product-building challenge so we can understand how you approach problems and execution.
- Step 3: Participate in deep-dive interviews with CSC leadership focused on your experience, product mindset, and operational thinking.
- Step 4: Offer. We'll move fast for the right candidate.
