About Us
The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) is seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills for a permanent position as a Business Analyst in the Business Systems unit.
The Opportunity
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Identifying business needs, analyzing opportunities, and recommending effective solutions to enhance the commissions business systems.
- Gathering and documenting detailed business requirements to ensure that new and existing commission systems meet established standards.
- Creating, executing and documenting test plans, cases and scripts for system modifications, enhancements, and new programs.
- Explaining and presenting both technical and non-technical information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences in a clear, accurate and understandable manner.
- Developing and delivering application training to system users and creating or updating procedure manuals.
- Providing business and technical support to clients and system users.
- Working collaboratively with SATCC management, system users, team members, developers, and external partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced business analyst who is a critical thinker and problem solver, with strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. You will have experience gathering and documenting detailed business requirements, developing test cases, and executing IT systems testing. You will be comfortable leading initiatives as well as contributing to team efforts.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a degree in Computer Science, a Business Analyst certification (such as CCBA, CBAP, etc.), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, ServiceNow or Azure DevOps would be seen as an asset.
