Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated

  • Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  • Create a warm, positive, compassionate atmosphere for our clients and patients
  • Willingness to learn more regarding pet nutrition, veterinary services, and updated medical office procedures
  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and adapt to changing situations
  • Take initiative and work independently
  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
  • Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
  • Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
  • Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients
  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments
  • Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset
