Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Key Account Sales Director to drive the adoption of our full suite of solutions across critical market segments. This role is central to launching our new EV charger and energy storage lines while expanding our lighting dominance. The ideal candidate is a sophisticated business developer who can consult with C-level executives on their long-term sustainability, energy resilience, and operational efficiency goals, translating them into large-scale, multi-product contracts.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Portfolio Selling:
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for Turolight's full product portfolio (Lighting, EV Chargers, Energy Storage) within the target verticals.
- Identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities (e.g., pairing solar-ready energy storage with EV fleet charging, or integrating efficient lighting with a building's energy management system).
- Build and manage a robust, multi-million-dollar sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue.
C-Level Consultative Selling:
- Engage with VPs of Sustainability, Fleet Directors, Chief Operations Officers, and Property Developers to understand their strategic challenges related to energy costs, ESG mandates, and infrastructure modernization.
- Conduct facility and operational assessments to identify pain points and opportunities for integrated solutions.
- Develop and present compelling, high-value business cases and ROI analyses that may include financing options and energy rebate facilitation.
Relationship & Ecosystem Management:
- Cultivate and leverage an existing network of contacts within the specified industries.
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder procurement and bidding processes, often involving technical, financial, and operational teams.
- Act as the primary client relationship owner for key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and identifying new growth avenues.
Solution Architecture & Negotiation:
- Collaborate with our internal engineering and solutions design team to architect customized, integrated systems for large-scale projects.
- Lead the negotiation of master service agreements, long-term contracts, and pricing strategies.
Target Industries & Segment:1. Construction & Property Management:
Residential/Commercial Builders: Integrate EV charging and energy storage into new developments.
2. High-Rise Property Management:
Solutions for tenant EV charging, backup power, and common area lighting upgrades.
3. Logistics & Transportation Fleets:
Major Carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, Purolator, Canada Post): Electrify depot and fleet operations with EV charging infrastructure and energy storage for demand management.
4. Public Sector & Municipalities:
Municipal Governments: Supply EV chargers for public use and municipal fleets, energy storage for community resilience, and LED lighting for streets and facilities.
Qualifications & Experience
Must Have:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of B2B sales experience in key account management, selling complex, high-value solutions or capital projects.
- Demonstrable, existing network and a proven track record of selling into one or more of the specified target segments.
- Experience in one or more of the following: EV Infrastructure, Energy Storage/Batteries, Solar, Lighting, Electrical Systems, or Building Automation.
- Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and close large, transformative deals.
- Exceptional financial and business acumen, with the ability to build and present complex ROI models.
- Strong executive presence and superb communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Direct experience selling EV charging or energy storage solutions.
- Understanding of construction cycles, electrical infrastructure, and utility interconnection processes.
- Knowledge of government funding, grants, and rebates for sustainable infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field.
