As the
Plant Controller
, you will secure a
permanent and pivotal position
within the Finance leadership team, directly managing, analyzing, and optimizing the company's critical manufacturing cost structure. This role requires an experienced leader who can not only manage complex cost accounting systems but also provide high-level, confidential financial counsel to executive management, driving strategic, data-driven decisions that impact long-term profitability.
This is a
permanent, full-time position
requiring a commitment to maintaining the highest level of discretion and integrity regarding proprietary financial data and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage
all aspects of cost accounting, including complex standard costing methodologies, confidential variance analysis, and proprietary product cost updates. - Provide Confidential Analysis
by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on sensitive data related to production costs, material utilization, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption to the senior leadership team. - Act as a Strategic Partner
to production, engineering, and supply chain teams to confidentially identify and control key cost drivers and protect proprietary information. - Develop and Maintain
robust, auditable, and confidential cost accounting policies, procedures, and systems to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and internal control compliance. - Prepare and Present
high-level, monthly cost reports, manufacturing KPIs, and in-depth, confidential profitability analysis by strategic product line or project. - Oversee and Direct
the annual budget and rolling forecast processes, providing detailed, confidential cost projections and strategic variance explanations to support executive planning. - Conduct and Communicate
sensitive cost simulations for new product launches and process changes to confidentially inform executive pricing strategies and critical investment decisions. - Lead and Drive
strategic, company-wide cost reduction and process improvement initiatives, maintaining strict confidentiality over implementation details and projected savings. - Ensure
proper inventory valuation and reconciliation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, strictly adhering to internal and external reporting standards. - Provide
confidential coaching and advanced technical support on complex cost matters to junior finance staff and cross-functional leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
- CPA designation
is
required
. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- 7+ years
of progressive cost accounting and financial analysis experience,
mandatory in a high-volume manufacturing environment
. - Expert-level
understanding of complex cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and integrated manufacturing process flows. - Proven experience in high-level variance analysis, managing a standard costing system, and leading comprehensive budgeting/forecasting cycles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and robust ERP/accounting systems (
Business Central experience is a significant asset
). - Exceptional analytical, strategic problem-solving, and professional communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex financial data to executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain
strict confidentiality
and exercise high professional judgment regarding proprietary information. - Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a proactive, strategic mindset for identifying and driving confidential cost improvement opportunities.
