HealthOPM is recruiting on behalf of a respected Toronto-based non-profit organization that operates a trauma-informed, anti-human trafficking (AHT) live-in treatment program for high-needs youth The Weekend Manager, Anti-Human Trafficking (AHT) Program provides supervision, administrative support, and oversight to the Anti-Human Trafficking Live in Treatment employees and program to ensure treatment program efficacy, adherence to best practices and legislative standards for client care. The Weekend Manager, AHT Program assumes responsibilities for the physical maintenance of the residence in partnership with the Manager of AHT Day Treatment/Live-in Treatment Services.

Salary range:

$40.26 to $46.88 per hour Benefits: Competitive Group Health Benefits, Defined Contribution Pension plan This is a part-time permanent position (14 hours per week).

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Provide guidance and support to a live-in treatment team of Child and Youth Care Practitioners, Peer Support Workers, and Integrated Care Coordinators, in adherence to established legislative/ accredited service standards, ensuring delivery of high-quality evidence-based/ evidence informed services.
  • Monitor employee performance and ensure appropriate training and feedback are provided in a timely way for the benefit of the employees and program operations.
  • Ensure staffing consistently meets program, licensing and accreditation requirements for the successful delivery of high-quality anti-human trafficking and mental health services in a live in treatment program operating 24 hours/ day and 365 days/ year.
  • Ensure all administrative requirements related to program operations are completed in a timely, accurate and effective manner.
  • Maintain and build upon the Live in Treatment milieu services to ensure that services are provided in accordance with relevant legislation/ accreditation standards/ college requirements/ Ministry expectation and the organizations clinical standards
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of employees and clients of the Live-in Treatment program through adherence to the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ministry and organizational policies and procedures
THE MUST HAVES

The following education, professional memberships and knowledge are a requirement for this role:

  • Child and Youth Diploma or Child and Youth Work degree.
  • Professional registration with the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care.
  • Minimum 5 years as a Child and Youth Worker or related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience.
  • Specialization with hard to serve youth and/or experience working in a shelter program.
  • Displayed competencies of self-care practices, personal/professional boundaries and growth of interpersonal skills.
  • Awareness of the role of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) in the workplace and within the community being served by the position.
  • An understanding of anti-black racism, anti-oppressive/anti-racism perspective in the context of the social determinants of health. Ability to recognize and identify situations where incidents of imbalance of power and privilege may occur and can result in possible negative impacts.
THE NICE TO HAVES

While not required, preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • Qualified as a trainer in Crisis Intervention is an asset.
  • Experience providing services with trauma-informed lens is preferred
  • Experience with facilities management and live in treatment and/or shelter systems is an asset.
  • Experience supervising and/or working in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Functional computer and client information system knowledge.
  • Fluency in another language(s), including sign language.
