We have an opening in our technical services team for an experienced IT Support Specialist to work out of our growing Markham office. A very ambitious recent graduate will also be considered as we believe in internal skill development. The successful candidate should be a well rounded IT professional who is familiar with a wide range of business IT technologies and principles, who likes to be hands on.

We are looking for someone who is a good fit with our existing Helpdesk and technical services group, who has excellent written and verbal communication skills and who can work both as part of a team or independently. Working knowledge of a variety of business IT systems and methodologies is an asset.

* Day to day responsibilities include corresponding with staff via telephone, email and chat, creating and closing trouble tickets, resolving technical issues, performing equipment setups (Windows PC's, Servers, Firewalls, Miscellaneous Office Equipment), data center monitoring and working with office staff in various technical roles as the face of IT.

* Key technologies in use include Windows Server and Desktop OS, VMware, LAN, WAN, Telephony, Exchange Server, SQL Server, MS Office, Office 365, MS Dynamics, Backup Methodologies, Mac OS & Various Types of Office Equipment.

Access to a vehicle is required as light travel around the GTA is required from time to time to visit clients onsite. Your mileage will be fully reimbursed.

Qualifications:

-Experience in an IT, technical support, and/or network administrator role.

-Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing technical issues.

-Experience communicating with and working with third-party vendor support (ie. Software issues).

-Familiarity with technical support tools, techniques, and IT services technology.

-Any of the following professional IT certifications: Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA.

-Experience in a customer or client facing role.

-Experience working in the managed IT services industry is an asset.

-A diploma or degree in computer science/information technology or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
