Calgary, Alberta, Canada Neo Financial Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

The Role

Neo is redefining rewarding financial experiences for Canadians. Our next milestone is to build the country's most engaged community around money. If you live on Reddit and Discord, understand customer love (and anger) inside out, and can turn feedback into features, come lead our Community team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build and execute the strategy for all community channels: Reddit, Neo's Discourse forum, RedFlagDeals, Trustpilot, X, Bluesky, and whatever comes next.
  • Coach and develop Community Specialists who answer questions, spark conversations, and jump on real-time chatter.
  • Identify superfans, move detractors to promoters, and seed brand ambassadors who drive referrals and buzz.
  • Surface insights, sentiment, and NPS themes to Growth, CX, Product, and PR so we fix pain points fast.
  • Spot issues early, manage reputational risks, and craft clear, calm responses when a situation heats up.
  • Launch AMAs, memes, polls, and Q&As online, then translate that energy into meet-ups, partner events, and surprise-and-delight moments.
  • Test and deploy AI tools to scale moderation, sentiment tracking, and content planning.
  • Track active membership, sentiment trends, referral lift, and NPS impact. Share the story in crisp weekly reports.

Who we are looking for:

  • 4+ years growing and moderating multi-platform communities in fintech, SaaS, gaming, or consumer tech
  • A proven record of turning critics into fans and fans into evangelists
  • Hands-on experience with Reddit, Discourse, Discord, X/Twitter, Bluesky, TikTok comments, and review platforms
  • Data-curious and fluent in social listening, NPS analytics, and AI-powered community tools
  • Calm under pressure, clear in writing, and quick in action when owning a crisis channel
  • Leadership chops; you have mentored or managed a small team and love seeing them win
  • A writing style that is sharp, human, and free of jargon
  • Bonus: experience running grassroots events or real-world activations

Working at Neo:

The people who thrive at Neo are resourceful, growth-oriented, and driven to win. We hold ourselves to high standards because we're on a mission that matters: to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. As individuals and as a team, we constantly challenge ourselves and each other to do our best work for our customers. Our commitment to customer success drives everything we do, from building intuitive products to providing exceptional support at every step of their journey. If this resonates with you, keep reading.

We trust, respect, and support each other. This means honest conversations, constructive input, and continuous support. You'll be surrounded by people who push you to be your best. We primarily collaborate in person across our Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices. As we evolve rapidly, we're looking for change-makers who thrive on challenge—people who would rather blaze a trail through uncertainty than follow a well-paved path.

All team members have a stake in Neo's success and earn meaningful equity through stock options. This ownership mindset is at the heart of everything we do — when Neo grows, we all grow. If you've heard that Neo employees work hard, it's true. We hold ourselves accountable for delivering on our commitments to our customers, partners, and each other. Working at Neo means taking ownership of your work and driving results, knowing that your contributions directly impact the company's success.
