About the Opportunity

We are planning to open a high-quality, nurturing childcare centre in Quesnel, BC, and are currently gathering applications from qualified Infant & Toddler Educators. This is an excellent opportunity to join a new centre where your experience and voice truly matter.

Your Responsibilities

Responsive Infant–Toddler Care

  • Provide warm, consistent, loving care to infants and toddlers
  • Develop trusting relationships through responsive caregiving
  • Support daily routines: feeding, diapering, sleep routines

Learning & Development

  • Create developmentally appropriate learning experiences
  • Observe and document developmental milestones
  • Encourage sensory exploration, language growth, and motor skills
  • Plan activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development

Environment Setup

  • Maintain a calm, nurturing, predictable environment
  • Ensure rooms are safe, clean, and beautiful
  • Set up activities that support curiosity and independence

Regulations & Documentation

  • Follow BC Child Care Licensing regulations
  • Maintain daily reports for parents
  • Keep accurate incident & medication logs

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with ECEs, assistants, and leadership
  • Participate in creating routines, schedules, and classroom design
  • Contribute ideas to shape the new centre's philosophy and culture

Qualifications

  • Valid Infant–Toddler Educator (ECE-IT) Certificate
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
  • Strong understanding of responsive caregiving
  • Experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed setting
  • Warm, patient, and emotionally attuned personality
