About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide high-quality care and companionship to an elderly woman in Oakville. The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and dedicated to supporting the client's physical and emotional well-being within a comfortable home environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Care & Companionship: Provide attentive personal care and meaningful companionship to enhance the client's quality of life.
  • Daily Living Assistance: Support with meal preparation, bathing, dressing, grooming, and light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and comfortable home.
  • Medication Support: Administer medications as directed and ensure adherence to daily routines.
  • Mobility & Outings: Accompany the client to medical appointments, social outings, and errands as needed.
  • Safety & Well-being: Monitor the client's comfort, safety, and overall health, promptly reporting any concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
  • Home Management: Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive living environment that promotes independence and dignity.

Qualifications

  • Valid PSW certification (or equivalent healthcare aide training).
  • Previous experience providing in-home elderly care preferred.
  • Compassionate, patient, and trustworthy personality.
  • Ability to handle personal care tasks with respect and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and access to transportation is an asset.
