Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, handling transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for helping others.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services.
  • Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash handling and credit card processing.
  • Provide product demonstrations and technical sales support to enhance customer understanding of merchandise.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring merchandise is well-displayed through effective merchandising strategies.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with excellent customer service skills.
  • Manage time efficiently to ensure quick service during peak hours while maintaining quality interactions.
  • Follow phone etiquette when handling customer calls, providing assistance as needed.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Experience in retail sales or cashiering with a solid understanding of basic math principles for accurate transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with technology sales and technical product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Proficient in cash handling procedures with attention to detail in managing financial transactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to demonstrate products effectively through engaging product demos that capture customer interest.
