Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Group Training Coach to lead group classes and inspire clients to achieve their goals.

The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, communicates clearly, and brings positive energy to every session.

You'll deliver J17's signature group training programs—focused on strength, conditioning, and performance—while maintaining a safe and motivating training atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach group fitness sessions for adults and youth
  • Deliver structured workouts following J17's programming standards
  • Provide form correction, motivation, and personal feedback during classes
  • Ensure a safe, energetic, and inclusive environment for all participants
  • Build strong relationships with members and help track their progress
  • Support gym operations and contribute to J17's community culture

Qualifications

  • Certified in Personal Training or Group Fitness (e.g., CPT, FIS, CSCS, CSEP-CPT, NCCP, etc.)
  • Prior experience in group fitness, functional training, or athletic performance coaching
  • Strong communication and motivational skills
  • Passionate, energetic, and committed to helping clients improve
  • Ability to coach diverse groups—from beginners to advanced athletes
