A small and very busy veterinary clinic is seeking ideally an experienced part-time veterinary receptionist/vet assistant. The primary focus of the position will be reception but we do expect our employees to be able to fill in where required and will provide the appropriate training. Ideally you will have previous experience in a veterinary clinic. The position is for two to three days a week but there may be extra days you will be asked to work. Starting salary is $ per hour depending upon your experience. If you have previous recent experience working in a vet clinic, your starting salary will reflect this. Days of work will are flexible and/or Saturday (not every weekend.) Duties involve making appointments, filing, answering phone calls, invoicing to name a few. You may be required to assist the technician with holding animals, walking animals and if you show an aptitude, we will teach you how to prepare surgical packs, monitor anesthesia, and other things that a Veterinary Assistant is required to know. There are cleaning duties involved with cleaning kennels and overall keeping the clinic clean. Lots of variety, lots to learn and opportunities to advance. Please note that you must be legal to work in Canada.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
