PROGRAM:

Supported Child Development

REPORTS TO:

Department Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Department Manager and Childcare Consultant the Childcare Support Worker will:

· Implement the individual education plans within a child care setting for children with additional needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Childcare Support Worker will have:

· Early Childhood Education Diploma or 2 years' experience working with special needs children in a supervised setting or combination of Early Childhood Education courses and experience

· First Aid ticket

· An equivalent Combination of education and/or experience.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

The Childcare Support Worker will be:

· Self-directed

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Good written and verbal communication

· Commitment to the philosophies of integration and inclusion

· Ability to work within a variety of teams and a variety of children

HOURS OF WORK:

Monday – Friday – casual hours

RATE OF PAY:

$25.95
