Job Overview

Afro Bella Hair & Beauty is seeking a talented and professional Nail Technician to join our beauty team. The ideal candidate will specialize in gel extensions, acrylic gel systems, and Gel-X, while also providing exceptional nail care services such as manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements. We are looking for someone who delivers outstanding customer service in a welcoming salon environment dedicated to client satisfaction and beauty enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel extensions, acrylic gel, Gel-X, and nail art.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and sterilization of tools and workstations in compliance with health regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and offering personalized recommendations.
• Upsell retail products and additional services such as body waxing to enhance client experience and salon revenue.
• Educate clients on proper nail care maintenance and aftercare instructions.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and welcoming for clients.
• Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and positive reviews.

Skills

• Proficiency in nail care techniques including manicures, pedicures, gel applications, gel extensions, acrylic gel, Gel-X, and nail art.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Ability to upsell retail products and promote additional salon services confidently.
• Excellent sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Effective communication skills to understand client preferences and explain treatments clearly.
• Retail sales experience is advantageous for promoting products and services.
• Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal, Freelance

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.75-$37.18 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
