What you'll be doing

The Senior Performance Analyst, Performance is part of the Total Investment Solutions Group. The performance team is accountable for a wide range of portfolio and benchmark performance reporting solutions across CIBC Global Asset Management. Responsibilities include the publication of performance and portfolio attribution reporting to communicate and present investment performance to our partners across the firm. The incumbent may also be involved with a variety of projects that will expose them to various research areas such as portfolio construction, asset allocation and quantitative analysis.

How you'll succeed

• Support the team in providing performance reporting solutions to internal and external partners. Ensure performance reports are delivered on time and with accuracy in adherence to the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS)
• Client focused by developing strong relationships with colleagues across the firm. Respond with quantification and timeliness to performance and performance attribution questions with our clients
• Problem solver. Perform data validation and resolve complex data issues impacting performance and performance attribution.
• Communicate and interpret. Understand performance and attribution results with a demonstrated ability to communicate and interpret actionable findings. Ability to communicate effectively to groups across the firm.
• Creation and running of monthly and quarterly reports including Performance Watch Lists, Composite reports and Dispersion Reports. Creation of non-standard performance and attribution to illustrate investment performance for our clients.

Who you are

• You have a degree/diploma in finance, economics, engineering, or other complementary business discipline
• You're a certified professional. CFA, CIPM designation or enrolment in the CFA, CIPM program is an asset
• You can demonstrate experience in Excel, Bloomberg Port, Eagle, Morningstar, SS&C and or other performance, accounting, and attribution software. Experience in handling large data sets and building macro-based spreadsheets. Prior experience related to Mutual Funds, Managed Portfolio solutions and other retail/institutional investment products is an advantage
