Job Description: Reporting to the Civil Divisional Supervisor, your general scope of duties will be:

· Understanding sewer and water materials and installation procedures

· Manage flow of information from office and field

· Prepare concise and accurate field notes, records and calculations

· Collect, organize, and present data

· Provide topographic and as required for planning and payment

· Perform layout in a competent and accurate manner

· Provide as-built condition survey requiring the use of survey techniques

· Prepare documentation of survey activities

· Maintain condition and adjustment of surveying equipment

· Coordinate surveying activities with supervisor to meet construction schedule and requirements

· Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

· Work safely and be aware of his surroundings at all times

· Able to assess work environment for potential health and safety hazards

· Other duties as required

Training/Certificates Required:

· WHMIS Certificate;

· Working at Heights Certificate;

· Worker Health and Safety Awareness Certificate;

· AODA;

Pre-Qualification Criteria:

· Valid class "G" Driver's License with clean abstract;

· CPIC –With Vulnerable Sector Clearance;

· Basic Literacy skills – written and oral;

· High School Diploma preferred.

Requirements:

· Able to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively;

· Ability to extract detailed information from drawings, plans, specifications

· A minimum of 3 years of construction surveying experience is preferred

· Know of surveying equipment and programs including (Trimble, Topcon)

· Ability to calculate volume measurements based on surveyed topographic information

· Proficiency with various Microsoft Office application

· Proficiency with Autocad preferred

· Willing and able to work in and support a team environment and work independently;

· Willing and able to work in a fast paced environment;

· Willing and able to work quickly and efficiently;

· Willing and able to work in extreme temperatures;

· Willing and able to lift 50+ lbs;

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.29-$33.58 per hour
