Lumea is a state-of-the-art surgical centre performing refractive and premium cataract procedures.
We are currently seeking a temporary full-time Surgical Technician to join our team. This may lead to a permanent position.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing for patients during the consultation process offered at our clinic. This being a position that represents the essence of our clinic; while maintaining our Gold Standard approach, we are looking for the following attributes:

Responsibilities
· Establish rapport with patients. Initiate patient evaluation, review medical history and all pertinent ocular findings accurately and in accordance with compliance guidelines.
· Perform pre-exam diagnostic testing, such as IOL Master, Topography (G4), Autorefractor, OCT Retina Scan, Vision Testing and other relevant tests.
· Understand all surgical procedures offered at the clinic and be able to answer patient questions as needed.
· Pre-test patients on a scheduled basis and maintain a steady flow.
· Understand how each diagnostic machine performs, and what it is measuring and be able to explain to patients.
· Maintain and assist with the upkeep of clinical examination equipment.
· Open and close exam lanes daily, ensuring equipment is properly cleaned, battery-powered instruments are correctly seated in recharge wells, and slit lamps and projectors are switched off under covers.
· Follow all safety procedures as per guidelines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
