Giatec Scientific Inc. (Giatec) is seeking an innovative and creative student to join our Marketing team as a Content & Social Media Marketing Assistant for the Winter 2025 co-op term (January to April). In this role, you will be focusing on social media engagement, research, website optimization and content writing. The successful candidate will also help with other marketing activities and ad hoc assignments/projects as necessary.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Content Generation: Assist in the development and execution of social media content and campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, TikTok, etc.
  • Support influencer/affiliate marketing and partner initiatives to increase brand visibility.
  • Analysis: Track and analyze social media performance metrics to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
  • Research: Track and monitor competitors, as well as best practices to provide suggestions on how to improve marketing efforts.
  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and industry news to keep content relevant and engaging Community Management:
  • Engage with Giatec's digital audience, respond to comments and messages in a timely manner, and build strong online communities
  • Other content and marketing tasks as required, including collaboration with Events, Product Marketing, PPC, and SEO.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage social media calendars and campaign deadlines.
  • Team-oriented, able to work cross-functionally with marketing, design, and content teams.
  • Open to feedback and ready to contribute within a collaborative environment.
  • Meticulous eye for detail, ensuring posts are accurate, brand-aligned, and free of errors.
  • Skilled in conducting market and competitor analysis, identifying audience insights, and researching trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student in a registered co-op program
  • Must be available for the Winter 2025 co-op term (beginning of January to end of April)
  • Must be able to work from the Giatec office at 2-3 days per week
