Quality Engineering Specialist (NOC 22302)
:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the generation of strategic plans to improve and enhance quality, efficiency and productivity.

As a Quality Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination, as well as suggesting solutions to identified and potential quality problems.

What you will do in the role:

  1. Analyze data and provide solutions/recommendations for product and process improvements.

  2. Recognize and understand customer specific requirements for internal and external customers.

  3. Plan, create and manage overall Quality Planning strategy.

  4. Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement.

  5. Documents, monitors, and resolves non-conformances, and performs root cause analysis of quality problems.

  6. Review and approve PPAP submissions, and maintain documentation in an organized manner.

  7. Assist suppliers in developing and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.

  8. Manage, coordinate and schedule internal audits (ISO9001) and assist with customer audits.

  9. Performs internal audits to ensure compliance.

  10. Assists Management Rep with 3rd party audits with the Registrar.

  11. Maintains and controls ISO 9001 documentation, including developing and updating of procedures, policies and templates to ensure document control and compliance.

  12. Assists production with training as required.

  13. Work with the Continuous Improvement team and other key stakeholders on Continuous Improvement activities

  14. Identify key KPIs for product and process quality.

  15. Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management.

  16. Other duties as assigned.

  17. Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.

  18. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

What you bring to the role:


• A Diploma in any Engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of Diploma level education and relevant experience


• At least 2-3 years' experience in quality assurance function, preferably within the manufacturing industry


• Experience in quality assurance and quality systems (ISO9001)


• Experience with policy and process development, control documentation required


• Experience with internal and external audits


• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Suite proficiency


• Planning and organization skills


• Time management and ability to prioritize effectively


• Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrated follow-up

This position is full-time on site located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON. Hours are typically 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Pay: Annual salary will range from $75,000 to $86,000, depending on qualifications and experience, based on a 40-hour work week.

This is a Full-time, Salary position.
