6132 Temporary Groundsperson

The following temporary position is open for applications:

GROUNDSPERSONCUPE Competition No. 6132

Location: SquamishArea

Temporary: December 8, 2025, to June 26, 2026, or return of the Incumbent, whichever occurs first

Hours:8 hours per day, 12 months per year

Rate of Pay: $28.84 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Manager: Transportation & Grounds and with the general direction of the Director of Facilities & Services, maintains safe, clean and presentable playing fields, lawns, School District property, playground equipment and fences.

Qualifications:

• Completion of Grade 11 and over three (3) months up to and including six (6) months related grounds keeping experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with air endorsement.
• Pesticide Applicator's Certificate.
• Working knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials information Systems (WHMIS) and Worksafe BC (WSBC) safety procedures.
