Extra Ed is an exciting, successful social enterprise with two main goals. One is to develop and deliver meaningful, innovative and engaging educational programs that teach essential life skills and create a positive impact on program participants, their families and their communities. The other is to engage in practices and actions which have a positive impact on human society and on the natural environment.

Extra Ed is currently seeking an energectic, creative, and dependable digital and/or video artist to lead groups of school aged children in lunch time and after school clubs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groups of students in grades 1-8 during lunch-time and after school clubs in schools across the GTA
  • Assist in the development of a curriculum of lessons for the clubs
  • Prepare lessons
  • Perform administrative tasks related to program delivery
  • Assist in the delivery of a variety of Extra Ed's lunch and after school clubs: lego, chess, robotics, etc.
  • Potentially work at Extra Ed's day camps and special events.
  • Participate in occasional paid training sessions

Requirements

  • Experience with digital art creation, video creation & editing, other new media-related skills
  • Teaching experience is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Professional, punctual and productive
