What You'll Be Responsible For
Reporting to our Manager, Operations, you will contribute to project success through various field operations and data collection activities. Collaborating closely with Project Managers, designers, and other field specialists, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive site surveys and field inspections using mobile devices and specialized tools to gather critical infrastructure data
- Collecting, validating and processing GPS data for telecommunications infrastructure and utilities with high attention to detail
- Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of field observations, measurements, and asset information
- Developing project deliverables including spreadsheets, maps, and reports for client submission
- Utilizing GIS platforms and specialized software for data processing and mapping of telecommunications assets
- Maintaining professional communication with external stakeholders, contractors, and the public during field operations
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12–18 months, you'll be:
- Proficiently conducting field data collection across multiple telecommunications projects
- Operating GPS equipment and specialized data collection tools with confidence
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders, property owners, and the public
- Identifying and implementing process improvements for greater efficiency
- Mentoring newer team members in field collection techniques
- Adapting to changing project requirements while maintaining quality standards
- Creating comprehensive documentation and maintaining data accuracy
- Expanding your expertise across multiple field operation areas including infrastructure mapping, utility surveys, and telecommunications assessments
What We're Looking For
- Technical Experience: Demonstrated experience in telecommunications field operations, infrastructure surveys, and GPS data collection; experience with GIS platforms and mobile data collection tools
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with field survey equipment and GPS technology; working knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and utility systems
- Project Coordination: Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate field activities, and maintain detailed documentation while adhering to project timelines
- Communication Excellence: Strong ability to interact professionally with stakeholders, property owners, contractors, and team members
- Problem-Solving Aptitude: Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues in the field
- Adaptability: Capacity to work independently in various weather conditions and environments; willingness to travel for projects
