Customer Accounts & Logistics Specialist

The Customer Accounts & Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing customer relationships, coordinating daily shipments, and supporting sales growth within the Poultry Express division. This role ensures accurate order processing, timely deliveries, and effective communication between customers, growers, and internal teams. The specialist oversees inventory accuracy, verifies invoices, and maintains balanced accounts to ensure product freshness and customer satisfaction. Acting as a backup to the Sales and Logistics Manager, this position requires strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills. The Customer Accounts & Logistics Specialist drives service excellence, operational efficiency, and proactive issue resolution in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

As a Production Supervisor, your responsibilities and duties will be, including but not limited to:


• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to grow the Poultry Express business profitably.


• Conduct customer outreach through phone calls, site visits, and follow-ups to assess needs and promote products.


• Manage daily sales calls to ensure all orders are processed by 11:00 a.m. for same-day delivery.


• Resolve customer issues quickly and effectively, maintaining a high level of satisfaction.


• Collaborate with the sales manager to monitor sales trends, pricing strategies, and grow business initiatives


• Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate product shipments.


• Manage inventory accuracy and freshness to balance accounts and meet customer expectations.


• Verify all invoices, debit/credit memos, and data entries for accuracy.


• Schedule and communicate daily delivery run sheets; update partners on route changes.


• Track and record daily bird counts, weights, and adjustments to maintain accurate sales and production data.


• Input invoices and short weights accurately into internal systems.


• Contact growers regarding load times, form submissions (form 6), and bird weights confirmations.


• Serve as the primary contact for Poultry Express calls and inquiries.


• Act as a backup to the Sales and Logistics Manager during absences


• Follow up on A/R customer accounts, ensuring they are up-to-date and not outstanding


• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental success.

Eligible candidates must possess the following attributes:

To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:


• Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and direct sales experience.


• Proven success in a customer service or sales coordination role.


• Experience in logistics, inventory management, or agriculture/poultry industries is an asset.


• Skills & Attributes


• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and data entry systems.


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.


• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.


• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.


• Willingness to travel locally as required.
