We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our vibrant dining establishment. The Restaurant Team Leader will be instrumental in maintaining a welcoming environment while driving team performance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the restaurant team to deliver outstanding service and food quality.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Assist with food production tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
  • Serve customers directly when required, providing excellent hospitality and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or wastage.
  • Foster a positive team environment that promotes teamwork, motivation, and professional development.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures related to health & safety, food handling, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques.
  • Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
  • Extensive restaurant experience including serving, hospitality, or hotel roles is desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
  • Previous kitchen experience or barista experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
  • Leadership qualities combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
