Profile
The
Maintenance Engineering Analyst
supports the continued airworthiness, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of the De Havilland aircraft family. This role combines technical analysis, data interpretation, and program development to enhance fleet performance and optimize scheduled maintenance requirements.

We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and collaborative individual with a genuine interest in aviation and data-driven problem solving as well as a strong foundation in engineering principles. The successful candidate will join a team recognized across the organization for providing in-service data intelligence that supports Engineering, Parts, and Customer Operations. This position offers exposure to a broad range of technical challenges and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the reliability and efficiency of our aircraft and to advance analytical capability within Maintenance Engineering.

About The Team
The Maintenance Engineering group is a multidisciplinary team that transforms operational data into actionable insights supporting reliability, maintenance, and cost-reduction objectives. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the scheduled maintenance program, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory and reliability requirements.
  • Produce and automate reliability reports using business-intelligence tools and operator-supplied data.
  • Manage and analyze databases of aircraft utilization, configuration, and performance history.
  • Coordinate with global operators to obtain and validate in-service performance data.
  • Perform in-depth reliability analyses to identify opportunities for maintenance optimization.
  • Determine Direct Maintenance Cost (DMC) for materials and labour by integrating cost and reliability information from suppliers, MROs, and operators.
  • Support initiatives aimed at reducing maintenance cost or avoiding unnecessary component scrappage.
  • Maintain and enhance the Approved Maintenance Program, applying MSG-3 methodology where applicable.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations for internal reviews, customer meetings, and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Product Support, and other departments to address in-service issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in process automation and digitalization initiatives, including tool development using SQL, Python, VBA, or Power BI.
  • Occasional travel may be required; a valid passport is necessary.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or AME license/training with relevant experience in an aerospace environment (Operator, MRO or OEM).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure, visualize and interpret large datasets.
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance philosophy, reliability, and regulatory frameworks (MSG-3, MRB, Airworthiness Directives).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and MS Office applications (working knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA, or Power BI considered an asset)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proven initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving ability in a dynamic technical environment
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to teamwork and shared success.
  • Comfortable with presenting to medium to large groups of stakeholders.
