INTRODUCTION:

We are seeking a Benefits Analyst Contractor to support our HR and Total Rewards team with benefits administration, compliance, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday HCM (Benefits module), strong analytical skills, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely support for employee benefit programs. This is a contract position with the potential to extend based on business needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Benefits Administration
  • Support day-to-day administration of health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs.
  • Maintain employee records in Workday, ensuring accuracy in benefit elections, changes, and terminations.
  • Audit Workday data regularly to ensure compliance and resolve discrepancies.

  • Employee Support

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries.
  • Provide guidance on eligibility, enrollment, coverage, and policy interpretation.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Assist with compliance activities including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other federal/state requirements.
  • Generate, review, and distribute standard and ad hoc reports using Workday reporting tools.
  • Partner with payroll to ensure benefit deductions and contributions are processed accurately.
  • Vendor & Process Management
  • Liaise with external benefit vendors for enrollments, billing, and issue resolution.
  • Support open enrollment activities including system setup, testing, and employee communication.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices to enhance efficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or total rewards.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Benefits module [required].

  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of benefits compliance requirements (ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly.
  • Proficiency with Excel and HRIS systems.

AND IT'S GREAT TO HAVE:

  • Experience with reporting and auditing in Workday strongly preferred.
