Job Title: SMT Operator

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Department: SMT

Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and teardown of SMT placement equipment as instructed by shift supervisor
  • Hand place SMT parts prior to reflow – when required
  • Assist QA inspectors with first article inspections.
  • When required provide support to other SMT operators.
  • Audit kits delivered from Inventory.
  • Point of use inventory control – part picking and put away
  • Perform basic maintenance of workstations and equipment as instructed by shift supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical skills
  • Ability and willing to learn SMT set-up
  • Basic SMT skills is an asset
  • Ability to lift about 20 lbs
  • Basic communication skills in both written and oral English
