Source Office Furniture is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Service Technician at our Burnaby, BC location. This is a full-time, unionized position, requiring membership in the UFCW.

The Service Technician represents the company in providing outstanding customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction in installing and repairing office furniture at the customer's site. The successful candidate must have a natural ability to work with hand tools, able to trouble shoot, and possesses the resourcefulness to get the job done.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Visit client sites throughout a designated area where office furniture has been previously delivered and install/repair any damaged or malfunctioning products.
  • Deliver and install components that have been back ordered.
  • Help with big installation projects, including assembling furniture on site.
  • Trouble shoot delivery/installation issues.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License with a clean history
  • 2+ years of experience using hand tools; furniture assembly experience an asset
  • Work well with a team but also work well independently
  • A quick learner with the ability to follow simple to complex directions or instructions
  • Use verbal and written communication skills that help project Source as a leader in the industry
  • Able to handle paperwork and process requirements promptly and accurately
  • Able to consistently carry 75lbs, unassisted
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Rate: $26.04 per hour
