About United for Literacy

United for Literacy is a national charitable literacy organization, established in 1899 on the belief that literacy is a right. We work collaboratively with community-based agencies across Canada to provide targeted, innovative literacy and numeracy support where it's needed most. Each year, more than 31,000 children, youth, and adults participate in our programs in over 160 communities across the country.

As a volunteer with United for Literacy, you'll join a nationwide network of programs that support learners of all ages, from children to adults, in both one-on-one and group settings. Volunteers across the organization help learners build confidence through conversation practice, homework support, life skills, and other engaging, inclusive learning activities.

This posting is for our Women's English Conversation Group in partnership with REACH Multicultural Family Centre. Volunteers in this program typically contribute 2–4 hours per week facilitating small-group English conversation sessions online.
