Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to support development sites in Eastern Ontario, primarily the Kingston and Loyalist areas. This role involves working on new residential construction projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, reliable, and eager to learn about construction processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing hands-on experience in the construction industry and developing valuable skills for future career growth.

Responsibilities

Tasks will vary based on site needs but could include:

  • Assist with site preparation, including unloading materials and setting up equipment
  • General construction such as: rough carpentry, site grading, and cleanup tasks to maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • After sales repairs/service
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools as directed by supervisors
  • Maintain a clean worksite by disposing of debris and organizing materials efficiently

Requirements

  • Positive team member with strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods
  • Prior experience in construction is preferred; willingness to learn is essential
  • Knowledge of Construction Health & Safety and Ministry of Labour requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid G license. Validation of insurability required
  • Preference will be given to candidates with new home construction experience

  • This role is a full time, on-site role. Hours are 7am-330pm Monday thru Friday, with some flexibility available.
  • Location will be primarily in Loyalist Township to start. Occasional travel to Brockville may be required.
  • Ideal candidate will have the desire, ability and ambition to learn beyond their role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
