As an Applied Scientist, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of computer vision, machine learning, and AI to deliver an unparalleled user experience for our customers. This position presents an exceptional opportunity for you to pioneer and innovate in AI, making a profound impact on millions of customers worldwide.

Key job responsibilities

Research and implement state-of-the-art computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning methods to deliver high-quality, highly-optimized artifacts that meet product specifications.

Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine learning model development, model validation, and gap analysis.

Provide technical leadership and research new machine learning approaches, including efficient algorithms for resource-constrained computing platforms, to drive continued scientific innovation.

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to design and implement computer vision and machine learning-based features for Ring and Blink products.

Influence system design and product vision by making informed decisions on the selection of technology, data sources, algorithms, and sensors.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
  • PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
  • Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
