Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations of our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide a memorable dining experience. Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel environments is highly valued. The Kitchen Manager will play a vital role in supervising food preparation, ensuring quality control, and fostering a positive team environment.

Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards.
  • Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
  • Supervise food service activities to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent customer service.
  • Lead team management initiatives including training staff on food safety protocols, hospitality standards, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service flow and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to uphold the establishment's reputation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
  • Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training restaurant personnel.
  • Background in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous; barista or serving experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
