We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Construction Site Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This role involves performing cleaning and debris-removal tasks across active construction areas, ensuring safety standards are met and supporting smooth site operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in construction-site or commercial cleaning, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe workspace for all personnel.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning and debris removal, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal across construction zones.
  • Clear construction materials, scrap, and hazards to maintain a safe and tidy worksite.
  • Clean and sanitize portable restrooms, lunchrooms, and common areas according to health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly and kept in good working condition.
  • Follow all site-specific safety instructions, PPE requirements, and cleaning procedures at all times.
  • Report any maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or hazards to site management immediately.
  • Assist with special cleaning tasks, deep cleaning, and site-preparation activities as required.

Qualifications

  • Prior custodial, industrial, or construction site cleaning experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, active construction environment.
  • Good physical stamina with the ability to lift, carry, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safe chemical handling, and workplace safety procedures is an asset.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.75-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
