We are currently seeking for a Live in Superintendent/ Cleaner to join our team. The individual will work under the direction of the Property Manager to oversee the administrative and maintenance operations of a particular residential building.

1. Superintendent Duties

Performing various building maintenance and repairs;

· Respond to after business hours & weekend emergency calls (on a rotational basis)

· Perform general cleaning, landscaping and snow removal where services are not met or performed by contractor;

· Processing, completing work orders and returning closed work orders;

· Garbage bin removal to proper pick up area two times per week or as directed;

· Administration of spare parts and supplies;

· Plaster, drywall, paint, plumbing, electrical and carpentry as required;

· Garbage removal, repairs, and cleaning of vacant units,

· Other assignments within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as reasonable requested from time to time by management.

2. Cleaner Duties

· Change Compactor bins as required

· Clean garbage chutes and report any deficiencies

· Maintain the internal nd external building environment

· Cleaning on units

· Remove all unnecessary debris

· Ensure all chemicals are stored and labeled to meet WHMIS requirements

· Other assignments within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as reasonable requested from time to time by management.

Desired Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, both candidates must possess the following combination of education, experience and skills:

· High school education at minimum. Additional educational or trades courses an asset,

· 2 or more years of property maintenance work experience (sound knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating, repairs, etc).

· Knowledge and expertise with hand and power tools,

· Ability to work outdoors, lift up to 25 kilos, and work at heights on ladders,

· Maintain confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy as well as positive attitude and effective interpersonal skills,

· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team,

· Have a valid G driver's license (nice to have).

· Familiarity with building mechanical systems is also required.

· Administrative and Leasing skills (calculations, rent collections, office administration),

· Understands and abide by company policies, the Tenant Protection Act, Privacy Act, and Municipal Property Standards By-Laws, and any other applicable legislation governing day to day operations;

· Capable in delivering notices to residents in a timely manner as directed by Property Manager;

This is a full time, permanent position with a salary based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $17.20-$26.20 per hour
