Marketing Coordinator

Discover Canada Tours – a family-owned Canadian tour operator celebrating 20 years of adventures in 2025 – is seeking a proactive and results-driven Marketing Coordinator & Graphic Designer who is well-versed in graphic design to join our dynamic team. In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in creating marketing materials in both print and digital formats, and coordinating marketing campaigns for Discover Canada Tours and its associated brands.As a key member of the marketing team, you'll work closely with the Marketing Manager to implement campaigns that drive brand awareness, generate leads, and support sales growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on multitasker with a solid understanding of graphic design for both print and digital, with strong project management skills, and attention to detail.
What You'll Be Doing:
Graphic Design
- Design marketing materials for all divisions primarily using Canva and Adobe suite. This will include both digital and print formats of brochures, posters, advertisement, presentations, business cards, website graphics, email marketing graphics, etc.
- Ensure the material adheres to all brand guidelines Manage design projects from start to end with input from the other department team
- Manage all design and print & production projects from planning to publication or print. Including researching, quoting, proofing and post production management.
- Coordinate in-house printing and outsourced printing with external vendors.
Marketing Communications
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather product and sales information, distill key messages, and design clear, visually compelling marketing materials in the most effective formats.
- Develop and oversee creative, clear & consistent messages in all digital and print media and materials.
- Maintain and update marketing kits annually, and provide all materials to support tradeshows, conferences and events.
- Assist in writing and update blog posts on the website
- Oversee monthly newsletters targeting different divisions and demographics
Website Maintenance
- Maintain and update the company's websites (WordPress) regularly to ensure information accuracy and graphic updates to facilitate customer engagement.
- Coordinate with external website development team with troubleshooting and regular maintenance.
- Coordinate with SEO consultant on SEO-specific improvements. Work with internal and external team on website content optimization to support lead generation and online sales.
- Plan, coordinate and manage seasonal and annual website updates.
Campaign and Project Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns and projects to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal team, external partners, media agencies, and contractors to ensure timely and successful delivery of marketing projects.
- Act as a liaison between various stakeholders to maintain alignment with brand and business goals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
- Analyze and report campaign performance to offer insights and recommendations for improvement.
While this role emphasizes Marketing Material creation and graphic design, the Marketing Coordinator & Graphic Designer will also support cross-departmental and brand-specific initiatives as needed, in addition to the key responsibilities outlined above.
Qualifications:
- Marketing or Graphic Design Degree or equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum 2-year experience with Graphic Design.
- Minimum 2-year experience in Marketing.
- Knowledge of best practices for digital graphic requirements and print production requirements is a must. Ability to develop marketing material that could be used and adopted for both print and digital media.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a strong understanding of marketing strategy integration.
- Working knowledge of WordPress. Additional website-related knowledge of HTML, CSS is an asset.
- Working knowledge of email marketing using Mailchimp.
- Working knowledge of AI tools is an asset
- Knowledge of HubSpot is an asset.
- Knowledge of Google PPC, Google Analytics and SEO is an asset.
- Knowledge and understanding of the tourism/travel industry is an assets
- Knowledge of Western Canada's main destinations is an asset
- Candidates must currently reside in Canada and be legally eligible to work, holding a valid work permit with a minimum of one year of remaining validity.
