We are looking for a qualified and motivated Relief Pharmacist to provide coverage at our various pharmacy location in Kitchener. Experience with Fillware pharmacy software is required for this role to ensure a smooth and efficient transition during shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties of a licensed pharmacist, including verifying prescriptions, conducting final checks, and providing patient counseling.
- Efficiently and accurately process prescriptions using Fillware pharmacy software.
- Provide professional clinical services such as medication reviews, injections, and minor ailment prescribing.
- Collaborate with pharmacy assistants, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Offer exceptional customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns with empathy and expertise.
- Maintain inventory control and ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and company policies and standards.
- Manage workflow efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adapting to the specific procedures of each location.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist in Ontario.
- Proven, hands-on experience with Fillware pharmacy software is mandatory.
- Strong clinical knowledge and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve effectively, and adapt to new environments quickly.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong professional ethic.
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
