Test Automation Developer

Description du mandat / Mandate description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Developer with experience in mobile platform test automation for Android and iOS applications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of our software development processes by designing and implementing automated testing solutions across mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with software developers, QA analysts, and product managers to understand software requirements and design automated test scripts for mobile applications.

Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for Android and iOS platforms using mobile-specific test automation tools and frameworks.

Identify, document, and track software defects found through automated testing processes on mobile applications.

Continuously evaluate and integrate new testing tools and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of mobile application testing.

Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of our mobile test automation environment ensuring it is robust, scalable, and efficient.

Provide support and guidance to team members in applying best practices for mobile test automation and quality assurance.

Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with team members to improve mobile testing strategies and coding practices.

Analyze test results and work with cross-functional teams to resolve identified issues on mobile platforms.

Exigences minimum/ Minimum requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Proven experience in software development and test automation, with a strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Kotlin.

Hands-on experience with mobile test automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar.

Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Experience in the insurance industry or with insurance-related software is a plus.
