Are you looking for a rewarding and exciting career in Social Services and Community Living? Strive Centre Kelowna is currently looking for Recreation Facilitators. Shifts will occur between Monday to Thursday between the hours of 10:00am-4:30pm.
The position entails working within Strive Centre's recreation, supporting Adults with Developmental, Concurrent Disorders, FASD, Autism, ABI and mental health issues, in a group and one-to-one capacity. The successful candidate would share their time between making connections in the community and linking participants to those connections as well as assisting individuals in the community, to work towards their goals, teaching life skills, community integration and social skills.

Pay rate: $25.95/hour *plus benefits upon meeting eligibility requirements.
*Some benefits have eligibility requirements of surpassing three (3) months and securing a regular position of 20hrs/week or more. The benefits and criteria may change from time to time at the discretion of Strive.
Job Skills & Abilities:

- Knowledge of community resources

- Organization and time management abilities. Meets deadlines and prioritizes workload.
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to act in accordance with established policies and procedures in the event of emergencies
- Familiarity with computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- The ability to accept change and adapt to a variety of assignments
Job qualifications include (if you do not have all of these, but demonstrate you are a good fit for the position, Strive may be able to assist you to acquire some of these requirements)
- Criminal Record Clearance, Ministry of Justice
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- MANDT Training will be offered in-house
- Food Safe Certificate
- 2 professional references
