The Opportunity
The
Community Manager
plays a vital supervisory role, serving as the principal on-site manager and champion for a collection of communities within Deveraux Apartment Community's regional property portfolio. Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Manager, the Community Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations at designated properties. Key duties include rent collection, tenant relations, leasing activities, general property administration, and collaboration with the Facilities Supervisor to maintain exceptional building and grounds standards.

What you bring...
- More than 3 years of experience in property management
- Familiarity with RTDRS rules and regulations
- High school diploma required; additional education preferred
- Prior supervisory experience is advantageous
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
- Proficient in administration, organization, and time management
- Capable of thriving in high-pressure, fast-paced settings
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe; familiarity with
- Yardi software is a plus
- Understanding of budgeting principles
- Possession of a valid driver's license
You will...
- Report directly to the Regional Operations Manager
- Provide supervision and motivation to all on-site personnel
- Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate ongoing training and development for staff
- Lead staff meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Foster positive relationships with prospects and tenants through clear and effective verbal and written communication
- Oversee leasing and administrative tasks, including prospect inquiries, viewings, applications, leases, notices, and renewals
- Ensure the accuracy of reporting data and promptly address tenant complaints with professionalism
- Uphold tenant privacy and confidentiality, prioritize safety, and comply with residential tenancy laws
- Manage daily maintenance requests and conduct regular property inspections to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Review monthly financial statements, attend budget meetings with Senior Management, and monitor rent collections and delinquency
- Participate in the Occupational Health and Safety Program to ensure compliance with onsite safety regulations
- Cultivate relationships with suppliers, vendors, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Stay informed about industry and market trends to inform decision-making
- Maintain a professional demeanor both onsite and offsite during business-related activities
- Implement and enforce community policies and regulations.
- Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
- Achieve and maintain high occupancy rates through effective leasing and retention efforts.
